The Dick Howser Award committee, seeing the hope and promise that Barack Obama showed while throwing out the first pitch at this year’s MLB All-Star game has awarded the President with the Dick Howser Trophy. An unidentified spokesman said it is not true that the committee was pressured in any way by the Administration. Instead she said that the committee got the idea from the Nobel and Heisman selection process and “we just felt it was the right thing to do.”
