The US is looking for "immediate steps against terrorist organizations," Secretary of State Colin Powell told Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei on Thursday. Powell telephoned Qurei to congratulate him on the formation of his new government, the State Department said, adding that the cabinet will be judged on its actions. "He told the prime minister that we are looking forward to working with him and his cabinet. He also made the point that performance is what counts and that the Palestinian cabinet needs to declare its firm opposition to terror and to take tangible, immediate steps against terrorist organizations, and that that's what we would be looking for," State Department spokesman Adam Erelie said.

Nothing has changed and nothing will change in regards to the Arabs dismantling terrorist infrastructure, or even condemning the terrorism. Instead of condemning the murder, the PLO and the rest of the Arabs continue to rationalize and excuse it. The fact remains The Arabs Do Not Want Peace With Israel. They only want the peace that would come if/when Israel ceases to exist. They continually tell teach their children that that is the goal, they continually tell each other that is the goal, and we continually ignore them. Why? Powell may be right in saying that performance matters, but he is unable to recognize that his words and the Road Map are meaningless outside the context of buying more time for the Arabs to continue their delusional campaign against Israel. Why are we dealing with the PLO in the first place? The PLO doesn't want peace, they don't want to cooperate with Israel, they don't want Jews living anywhere near them. The PLO has no interest in taking care of any palestinian people, they only care about exercising their own power, lining their pockets, and killing Jews. Arafat is a criminal, a murderer, a thief.
